Market research is a tool used by organisations to find out what people think of their goods and services. This can be done in a variety of ways ranging from in home interviews, paid surveys or focus group discussions.

Group discussions bring together small numbers of people to discuss a topic. A typical discussion consists of seven to ten people who share common characteristics and experiences in relation to a topic. The group discusses the topic for about 1.5 to 2 hours under the direction of a skilled moderator.

Group discussions are held at formal group rooms located in central locations across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

The commencement time of group discussions vary. They are mainly held in the evening, however daytime groups are also common.

All information on the Chitchat Research database, including all participant's personal information is stored on a secure server. Chitchat's server is housed in a secure server facility. The facility requires escorted access in and out of the premises and meets all Australian Quality Assurance requirements.  Further, Chitchat Research adheres to the Privacy (Market and Social Research) Code 2014 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Your details will be retained indefinitely or until you choose to remove your details via our website or over the phone.

If you fit the profile we are seeking for a research project, you may be sent an email invitation from Chitchat Research. Participants who attend sessions must match the criteria given to Chitchat Research by our clients. Should you match the criteria of our client you will be contacted accordingly.

No. Participation is purely voluntary and you may choose not to participate in a project despite meeting all the criteria.

Successfully completing the screener questionnaire or sending a reply email to the invitation does not automatically guarantee you will be selected to participate in the project. If you have been selected, you will be contacted by Chitchat Research staff within a week of submitting your interest. If you have not been contacted by us within this time, then please assume you have not been chosen for the project.

You must contact Chitchat Research as soon as possible on on 07 3325 1000. We request 24 hours minimum notice where possible for non-attendance.
